What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a site saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. Cookies are widely used in order to make the sites functional or more efficient, and to offer information to the owner of the site.
How do we use cookies?
The flytting-oslo.no site uses Google Analytics, a web analysis tool provided by Google, Inc. („Google”) that contributes to the analysis of the way the site is used. For this purpose, Google Analytics uses cookies, small text files placed on your computer.
The information generated by cookies regarding the way the site is used – standard journal information about the use of Internet (including your IP address) and information regarding visitors’ behaviour, in an anonymous format – are sent to Google and stored, including on servers in the United States. Before being sent to Google, your IP address is anonymised.
According to the legal certification regarding the Privacy Shield, Google claims to respect the UE-USA frame. Google can transfer the information collected by Google Analytics towards a third-party when the law requires so or when the respective third-party processes information in behalf of Google.
According to the terms of use for Google Analytics, Google will not associate the users’ IP addresses with any other data stored by Google.
You can refuse the use of Google Analytics cookies by downloading and installing Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
How to manage cookies in your browser
Most of the browsers allow you:
• to see your cookies and delete them individually
• to block cookies from third-parties
• to block cookies from certain websites
• to block set-up for all cookies
• to block all the cookies when you close the browser
If you choose to delete the cookies, you have to take into consideration the loss of certain preferences. Also, if you block cookies completely, numerous websites (including ours) will not function correctly, and transmission on the Internet will not function at all. For these reasons, we recommend not to block cookies completely when using our online transmission services.
